Newly-promoted Yarm & Eaglescliffe recorded a 2-1 win over Ryton & Crawcrook Albion at Bedford Terrace on Saturday.
A brace from Josh Larkin either side of half time (the second a penalty) secured Yarm the win.
Richard Hoggins had pulled a goal back with 20 minutes remaining but it was too little, too late for Albion, who finished the game with 10-men following a red card in stoppage time for Callum Senior.
