Albion travel to FC Hartlepool on Saturday for the third meeting of the sides this season, having met twice at the Oldhaulage Stadium, RACA winning the league game 5-0 but Hartlepool winning our Durham Challenge Cup tie 4-2. Like ourselves, the Teessiders’ league form has petered out as the season comes to a close, not having won in their last five league games, but they have made it to the Ernest Armstrong Cup semi final where they could be playing us again if we beat Billingham Synthonia and Yarm & Eaglescliffe in the upcoming rounds. Albion will be hoping to end the losing run of three games and although the play-offs are all but a pipe dream now, a positive result will be a shot in the arm before Wednesday’s cup game v The Synners.
