Ryton & Crawcrook Albion are delighted to announce the signing of Callum Johnston, who joins the club from Jarrow ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Johnston is no stranger to the Oldhaulage Stadium, having scored a fabulous goal here on the final day of last season — and we’re hopeful there’s plenty more to come in Ryton colours this season.

Manager Nathan Beckham commented: “It’s been a really busy few weeks at the club. 

“After last season’s disappointing finish, there was a real need for change and fresh energy.

“Callum, like George [Hayton], was a top target last summer, and I’m buzzing to finally have him on board. 

“He’s a centre forward who never gives defenders a moment’s rest — a real handful and exactly the type of player we need to drive us forward this season.

“There are still a couple more coming through the door this week, and we’re looking forward to getting going on Saturday.”
