The Wick are Next at NE40

Albion entertain high flying Alnwick Town at the Oldhaulage Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Wick sit in 6th place in the table before tonight’s games, having scored 21 goals in their 8 league games so far, the joint highest in the division with Seaham Red Star, and hot shot Euan Potts has scored a dozen of them. Thankfully for their opponents, the goals are drying up a little after a blistering start where they netted 17 times in their opening four games including a 6-0 win at Grangetown. Alnwick like us lost away to NWCFL North opposition in the FA Vase on Saturday, losing 4-1 at Nelson, but prior to that hadn’t lost since the opening game of the season going down to the odd goal in seven at Jarrow. As RACA’s injury list grows manager Nathan Beckham will be hopeful of a clean bill of heath for one or two of the walking wounded, one of which is Morgan Dart who scored in the 1-1 draw in the corresponding fixture last season.

Kick-off for the Alnwick game is at 7:30pm on Wednesday
