Birtley record 5-1 win

Birtley Town eased to a 5-1 win at Kingsley Park on Saturday.

The visitors stormed to a 5-0 lead thanks to Glen Hargrave (39), Aiden Rutledge (50), Jack Honour (53, 58) and Andrew Clarkson (84) before Jay Roper’s (87) consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Top league goal scorer Rutledge (27) had an earlier penalty saved by Adam Mooney while Joe Thompson was sent off for Albion 16 minutes from time.

Albion travel to Jarrow in a crucial match next Saturday.

Albion suffer another 6-0 defeat

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion suffered back-to-back 6-0 home defeats after Newton Aycliffe advanced into Round 2 of the Durham County FA Challenge Cup with a big win at Kingsley Park.

The first division outfit scored through Jake Petitjean (27 pen), Liam Jarvie (40), Liam Adamson (46), Callum Munro (51), Ben Reay (55) and Zack Blythe (79).

Jay Roper was sent off for Albion late on.

Albion win at Esh

First half goals from Jay Roper and Joe Thompson were enough to earn Albion a battling 2-1 win at Esh Winning on Saturday.

Cobi Jones cancelled out Roper’s early penalty before Thompson secured the win on the half-hour mark. The result means Albion string three league wins in a row for the first time this season.

Albion ease to win at Washy

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion recorded a comfortable 3-0 win at Washington on Tuesday.

Goals from Christopher Stephenson on the stroke of half time before Charlie Grieveson and Joe Thompson wrapped up the three points in the second half.

Albion exit the FA Vase

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion have been knocked out of the FA Vase after a 4-1 defeat at record-winners Whitley Bay on Saturday.

A spirited performance from Albion but Luke Porritt, Elliott Day and a brace from Bailey Geliher either side of half time gave the hosts a dominant 4-0 lead before Joe Thompson pulled a consolation goal back on the hour mark.

Thompson hat-trick earns Albion win

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion came back from behind twice to secure a huge 3-2 win over Chester-le-Street Town at Kingsley Park on Wednesday.

A hat-trick from Joe Thompson earned manager Joe Kendrick his first win as Albion manager.

Two penalties from Kevin Dixon had given the visitors the lead twice in the first half with Thompson responding with equalisers before his third and winner 14 minutes from time.

Boro Rangers secure comeback win

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion let an early 1-0 lead slip to lose 4-1 at home to Boro Rangers in manager Joe Kendrick’s first home match in charge, in front of a crowd of 221 at Kingsley Park.

Joe Thompson gave Albion the lead from the penalty spot after 7 minutes but the visitors equalised through Callum Hickman after 35 minutes before Daniel Lofts gave them the lead on the stroke of half time.

Ben Turner extended the lead early in the second half before Stuart Rose wrapped up the win on the hour mark.

Albion heavily beaten at Billingham

Joe Kendrick’s first match in charge of Ryton & Crawcrook Albion saw them suffer a heavy 9-2 defeat at Billingham Town on Tuesday.

A Jack Pounder hat trick, David Gordon’s brace and further strikes from Kyle Davis, Robbie Bird, Paul Braithwaite and Luke Spalding gave the Teesiders a dominant win.

Thomas McIntyre pulled a goal back for Albion on the stroke of half time to make it 4-1 and another on the hour mark to make it 6-2.
