Ryton face a stiff test on Wednesday as last season’s Division 2 runners-up Yarm and Eaglescliffe visit NE40. The Teessiders sit in 9th place but have games in hand over everyone else in the division, and have lost just the one of their nine league and cup games this season, that a narrow 0-1 loss at FC Hartlepool. Since their promotion from the North Riding League, RACA have played the Eagles four times, winning both home games & losing the two games on Teesside. Last season this was the opening fixture which we won 1-0 with Joe Groves-Forbes, who sat out Saturday’s Park View match due to injury, on target for Albion.
